Do not listen to the naysayers. This app is the real deal. Especially on my iPad. Does EVERYTHING advertised. Absolutely wonderful to use with an innovative and ascetically appealing interface. I love this app! Perfect for sending a file remotely to my 4G LTE iPad. Money well spent. Do it, buy it.

The app is smooth and intuitive. The gestures are very well done. The play/pause and other music features interact well with almost every application.

Komischerweise habe ich keine Probleme mit dieser App.
Um mal eben das MacBook zu steuern, während man mit dem iPad auf der Couch liegt oder mit dem iPhone eben AppleTV steuern, alles funktioniert verzögerungsfrei.
Die grafische Gestaltung der App ist sehr übersichtlich und alles selbsterklärend.
Für meine Zwecke reicht diese App sehr und ist sein Geld Wert.

I just bought this app to use it with my windows 7 Pc and it works perfectly. But I had some problems installing the software on the pc.

App works very good with the AppleTV. Completely replaced the remote control for me. Have the home cinema setup in a separate room and always had trouble connecting with the original AppleTV remote. Now it works from everywhere in the WLAN.

Finally the best screen sharing app of all time! I was sold after I saw the AppleTV screen sharing! I was looking for that kind of functionality on my MacBook Pro but this is just as good!

This app is truly brilliant, such a useful tool. 110% happy with it, well worth the money!

This app is great to control my mac from a different level at my home or one and I se this app to stream via AirPlay on the older ATV. This has some great uses an has never not worked. I am intact impressed with how well it does this over 3G when I'm not at home.

Remote HD is in my opinion the best all in one controller I have used. I have used pretty much everyone there is in the app store and always come back to this one. I highly recommend this one over all the others. It's as basic as an iTunes remote and can do as much as controlling your Mac with Siri. You gotta try it.

I love this app and use it with Apple TV. It's extra features are nice and feel more complete for a remote compared to Remote App.

Easy to set up and use. I use it at home to control my music and from work to access files on my home computer. I highly recommend this app. Any reviews I've read that have been 2 or less stars are from people that bought the app without doing a little research and instead of trying to figure it out decided to give a poor rating. Don't listen to the naysayers this app rocks! And the price isn't bad either when compared to other VNCs.

I don't know if there is anything better, but this works for me. I use it to adjust the volume and change pandora in the house all from my phone. Using Airfoil, I run music throughout my house and this app gives me complete control. I can also check on other computer easily and shutting them down is faster then doing it from the computer itself. It does work across the Internet too, but that's slow and sometimes unreliable. I feel that the problems with the remote connecting across the internet has more to do with the Internet connections then this app. I don't know of a better app and this will work across platforms. All and all a great buy.

Everything I was looking for in a remote. Works great with Apple tv.

I was looking at a few other remote desktop apps but decided on this one as it seemed like others who reviewed it were very happy with it.

I urge anyone who is cautious about purchasing this not to worry and go for it. It is so easy to use on my iPad and iPhone too. I can easily play music, browse the Internet, look through my documents and work/ Uni files on my Mac book pro from the comfort of my lounge, at Uni, the gf's place or even over 3G. And you donteccentric have to muck around with router settings as it does it all for you. I should note that on my crappy old Bellkin router I was having trouble connecting from outside my LAN but I now have a billion router and I can now connect flawlessly from anywhere so be mindful of this.

I was quite impressed with the ability to zoom in by pinching in and out. There's also a setting where you can improve the clarity of the view (from the helper file on computer) which made it a lot betters to view as well.

I mainly bought it because I have been caught out, on numerous occasions, away from home and in need of an important document that is on my laptop. Because I take my iPad with me a lot of the time I can simply email it to myself and save myself a lot of hassle.

So that's my little spiel on this App. All in all im stoked. Well worth the money in my opinion. Well done to the developers as this is one of the most useful and convenient apps I have purchased to date. Keep up the good work. Keep the updates/ improvements coming too.

Mit Remote HD steuere ich ATV1. Damit kann ich meine Musik über die Stereoanlage abspielen ohne einen Bildschirm an ATV1 zu benötigen.

Eine Steuerung eines Windowsrechners geht auch.

Das habe ich für mein AppleTV2 gesucht. Jetzt kann der Fernseher aus bleiben, wenn ich Musik höre möchte. Besser geht immer, aber erst mal sehr gut. Der Bildschirminhalt vom ATV2 wird übertragen!!!

Funciona bien con Apple tv 2, pero con la computadora muy mal. Lo mas importante, el pad (para controlar el mouse) no funciona.

Works a treat! Using my ipad and iphone to connect both locally and over 3G to 2 different macs. Really cant fault this app. The support from the developers is first class too, really quick to answer questions or resolve issues. The last remote app you'll ever need!

La tenía en el iPod, y cuando compre el iPad, me valió la instalación y es mucho mas completa. A mi me conecta a la primera con los mac de casa, además, el sonido también se transmite. No he tenido nunca ningún problema de conexión, y a mi, me parece muy intuitivo

Love this App. I love the fact that I don't have to replace the battery in my AppleTV remote anymore and being able to type in my search is great. Not to mention the wifi feature means I don't have a clear line of sight to the AppleTV to control it.

This neat product truly delivers; but please add a Dashboard (and fix the Spaces / Mission Control).

Nagyon hasznos és jól megírt App. Egy probléma van csak vele, hogy amikor az audio stream et kikapcsolom, mindig kifagy az egész program. Amúgy interneten keresztül is jó, saját hálózaton is tökéletes. Megéri megvenni. Mégegy dolog zavar, hogy nincs egér mozgatós funkció az irányításra, csak "odabökős". Ezen még javíthatnának a fiúk.

Già solo per l'AirPlay sulla AppleTV1 (con ATV Flash :-P) vale il prezzo!
Ma questa applicazione fa davvero molto di più, quasi senza limiti.
Vi segnalo peraltro una possibilità per usare l'iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch con un Mac anche in assenza di rete WiFi o 3G disponibile per entrambi i device.
Leggete il commento che Francesco Ravesi ha scritto il 28/4/2010 su iTunes per l'App "Remote HD Lite" (in realtà si riferisce alla versione full, come capirete dal commento). Funziona ed è di una semplicità disarmante.
Con il suggerimento di Francesco l'iPhone diventa un vero potentissimo telecomando del proprio Mac (magari un MacBookPro durante una presentazione o una conferenza) anche in assenza di qualunque rete Wireless. Grazie Francesco! Non ti conosco ma sei un grande, come questa applicazione!

Consente di controllare remotamente tutti i vostri dispositivi Apple, Apple TV compresa. Funziona anche via Internet. Se avete questa necessità è l'applicazione migliore in circolazione.

Leider nur 4 Sterne. Habe auf mein Apple TV Probleme beim xbmc beim Klicken. Manchmal nach einem Klick gelänge ich zum Ende der liste weil augenscheinlich der Button hängenbleibt. Ansonsten macht das App was es soll. Eine gute Investition wenn man batterie Geld sparen will.

Keine Probleme mit AppleTV2.

I motsetning til de andre som tydeligvis tror det er appen det er noe galt med, synes jeg at Remote HD er verdt pengene sammen med remote helper. Jeg sitter tilbakelent i sofaen med iphonen i handa. Mac'en min står under 50 tommeren og streamer bluray som bare det.

Så NEI negative gutter, det er ikke appen det er noe galt med. ;)

Its a great 3 part program. Part vnc, part appletv 1 AirTunes source, part remote control.
I would give it 5 stars but for the annoying way it sometimes mutes the appletv when the iPhone is muted.

Manque quelques informations en Français notamment un mode d'emploi pour certaines fonctions mais dans l'ensemble, l'utilisation reste intuitive.
Si possibilité pour les créateurs d'insérer, dans la version iPad, le "trackpad" en dessous de la vue de l'écran du Mac.

Would recommend this to anyone. It's so convenient. I can access my PC wirelessly anywhere around the house.

I'm using it to control a Windows PC and AppleTv 1st gen, but i'm also using it to stream music and video to the ATV. I works for streaming videos from iPad to the ATV, but I wasn't able to stream video from iTunes to ATv, therefore 4 Stars, not 5.

I also have some other apps to stream from my NAS to ATv that work much better with the Remote HD helper than with the standard apple AirPlay.

Klockren lösning med macbook kopplad till tv'n och ipadden i soffan. Använder inte lösningen med fjärkontroll däremot trackpad och att spegla datorns skärm.

When you switch apps and switch back to remote hd, the mouse skips all over and you have to disconnect and reconnect to make it work again. Every time. Leave the app for even a second and come back to it and the mouse always skips. Very annoying.

This is a great app, worth every cent, would like to see a easier UI or manual, it took me a while to under what is what, but once figured out, it works like a flash!

Works well for those with apple tv generation 1s with the software add-on at remotehd.com. Slick functions mimicking apple tv remote in all apps including xbmc, could do with some more remote buttons and slow reconnects being the only real flaws.

Eveeyrhing you want in a remote for your mac. I've only tested it extensively over wi-fi,but I'm sure it works well over the internet.

Not the most intuitive or functional interface but works quite well and also serves as a fairly acceptable way to stream music from iTunes on any computer on your network.

Pretty amazing what it can do. Occasionally locks up but on the whole, very impressive

Il serait bien que l'application soit en natif sur Apple TV car le clavier est un bonheur en rapport à la télécommande d'origine

In combinatie met de ipad een ideaal programma dat precies doet wat het belooft. Aanvankelijk heb ik dit programma aangeschaft om de atv 2 Flash client aan te kunnen sturen van Firecore. Nu kan ik browsen via de apple tv. Wat ook kan is dat ik het scherm van mij mac afspeel op de tv/beamer via Airplay. Ook op afstand kan ik mijn imac/atv benaderen en instellingen aanpassen. Dit over 3G. De ondersteuning is erg goed. Mijn vragen v.w.b. de instellingen zijn binnen een halve dag beantwoord.

What a great surprise to find an app that's been really thought through, not just for a function but everything you want to do from the comfort of a couch. Great on iPad to control browsing, EyeTV, iTunes etc. So much more than a remote. Really pleased.

Very useful for working with the ATV2 and the ipad would like the ability to not show what is on the ATV2 screen and just control it sometimes. Linking to PC or MAC is great. Have not tried the over the net feature. Will continue to use

Pretty good app overall. It can be a bit flakey on certain devices occasionally. But, the majority of the time it works very well.

This app is everything that it says it is! Even if it doesn't connect automatically, you can always connect manually using an IP address.

Funktioniert genau wie beschrieben, ist bei mir auf dem ATV1 in betrieb. Den letzten Stern gibt es, wenn ich nicht nur einzelne Filme übertragen kann, sondern auch Live TV übertragbar wird 😉. Das ist aber heulen auf sehr hohem Niveau! Die App ist wirklich Super!

Remote HD funktioniert 1a mit dem ATV 2 mit xbmc und Windows 7...... Kein Fernseher anmachen zum Musik hören :-).... Fernzugriff auf den Laptop von überall , genial:-)

Solide und eignet sich für die Aufgaben die es verspricht. Vor allem das Gesture Pad ist sehr hilfreich und gut umgesetzt Preis ist leider etwas hoch...aber wahrscheinlich hat Qualität seinen Preis.

Pretty good but one thing I think let's it down is it's too busy. lots going on, so many different options for everything. Although this is a good thing it makes the whole experience a bit confusing. Would be nice to have 'profiles' so that you could specify only certain features for specific devices. Other than that, love it. Have it on my iPhone and iPad and it works seamlessly with my MPB and Apple TV. Love it.

I bought this app to be able to Airplay to my 1g ATV. Video and picture streaming and remote controlling work flawless.
The only thing that doesn't work is streaming music from my IPad library to the ATV. I hope this will be added in the future.

Tech support is very quick and helpful. Would give 5 star rating if streaming music was possible. So guys, please make this available.

Den gør et super job i at få AirPlay bragt til 1. gen AppleTV.

Dog er der efter min mening lidt for meget lack hvis man skifter billeder på sin iPhone/iPad før de bliver vist på TV. Det kan dog også være både netværk og AppleTV specifikationer.

Så mangler vi bare at Apple får lukket op for AirPlay i alle applikationer :-)

I was a skeptic that this would be slow and not functional. I was proven wrong when a friend showed me. I run a small film studio and this ap has enabled me to run aspects of my business from home. It lags a little to much for video without apple tv, but worth the investment. Thumbs up!!

S'il y a une application a posséder quand on a un Mac c'est bien REMOTE HD.

Grace a ce programme génial, votre iPhone se transforme en lanceur d'applications (par un accès direct au dossier APPLICATIONS) On peut, de plus, piloter celles-ci grâce a un trackpad, un clavier et un pointeur virtuels (!)
L'accès au Spotlight du Mac permet d'ouvrir n'importe quel fichier, et tout ça depuis votre canapé !
D'autre fonctionnalités encore (accès au Doc, navigation entre programmes ouverts sur le Mac, contrôle du volume, etc.) font de REMOTE HD un programme quasi indispensable. Et quand on pense a l'argent que l'on dépense pour certaines applications, il ne faut surtout pas hésiter s'offrir celle-ci car elle offre un panel de possibilités immense ... pour un prix somme toute très raisonnable.

Permite airplay en appletv1 con jailbreak y sirve de remoto a casi todo (ios / mac os x). Incluso ves la pantalla a tiempo real en modo remoto, no hace falta estar delante del aparato controlado.

Le seul point perfectible à mon goût est la navigation à distance: le pointeur de la souris manque de précision et il manque le scroll à deux doigts...

To mój kolejny program do obsługi iMaca z iPhone'a i mimo ceny najlepszy. Bezpłatny teamv... gorzej ogarnia, ale na równi bo za free. Jeżeli komuś nie żal parę ojro;), to śmiało ściągać. Jedna gwiazdka mnie z powodu małych niedopracowań, które są zauważalne tylko dla wybrednych. Pewnie się poprawią...Nie, no muszą!!!;)

This is a brilliant application that I originally downloaded as a novelty item, but it's turned out to be a life-saver on many occasions. Imagine being at an impromtu meeting without your desktop, but needing to get a document off it asap... Remote HD'd back to my machine, emailed myself the attachment (or uploaded it through dropbox on another occasion) and the meeting went without a hitch!

It also has great security settings so you can see and be notified if someone's logging onto your machine.

I have this on both my iPad and iPhone. Customer service was great when I had a small issue (my fault); it was sorted in a couple of hours. This is a must-have app for iPhone and iPad.

This is the best screen share app I have on my iPad hands down!

Great app. Well worth it to buy. I've been using it mostly as a sofa remote to XBMC and it has been working great. The one time that a companion upgrade broke XBMC integration, the developer was on it right away. Oh, and the app has other features too :).

Var mycket missnöjd innan senaste uppdateringen då fördröjningen mellan klick på telefon och klick på datorn var nästan 2 sekunder (lokalt). Detta verkar vara åtgärdat och det fungerar finfint nu. Vnc klienten fungerade utmärkt både före och efter uppdateringen.

The app do what it's supposed with some nice designs and easy setup.
The support is really great. Quick response and problem solved.

This is a great app for easy access and control of your computers, be it in the house via wifi or off-site over the internet.

It also includes custom controls for a number of computer programs so it works well for instance as an HTPC remote. Example: my kids watch cartoons on Boxee in the other room and when they shout that it's over I can just pick up my iPad and start a new one for them.

When I first tried it out, I found some errors in the PC server software and contacted the help desk. It took about an hour for them to get back to me. The very next day they had a new build for me to try out that fixed my problems. I.e very quick and efficient support.

I can sincerely recommend this app if you need a nice and easy way to remote control your computers.

Je cherchais depuis longtemps une application telle que remote HD. Les autres avaient toujours un truc qui fonctionnais pas trop bien... Mais celle-ci répond exactement à mes besoins. Très stable jusqu'à présent. Elle vaux franchement son prix!

This app works extremely well. I have been using it wih my apple tv and it is the remote that I've been looking for for a long time. Being able to see the apple tv on my iPad helps a lot and i am able to control it with ease. One thing that would make it better is if you could minimize the keyboard but not the added bar above it. Well done and I hope it continues to get better and better with each update.

Great support. Quick response on my problems regarding 3G. Does what it promises, but is a bit slow to use in SL. Remember to open ports in your isp modem/router.

Испробовав множество программ подобного типа, могу с уверенностью сказать, что Remote HD самая адекватная. В отличии от других, легка в настройках, не вылетает и не зависает. С Win7-U x64 работает на ура. Фурычит как через локалку, так и с внешних адресов (через Интернет). К тому же, самая быстрая отрисовка кадров из всех. 1920х1200 транслирует с ~ 8-10 fps. Повторюсь - у других программ этот параметр раза в два-три ниже. В общем, я доволен! :)

If Apple themselves made a VNC application for the iPhone or iPod Touch it would look, perform and be as user-friendly as Remote Jr. It really is mind-boggling how much functionality has been put into this without design/UI compromise. It uses every functionality of the iPhone touch interface and accelerometer in ingenious ways to make interacting with your computer or Apple TV easy and intuitive. Aside from the GUI which is fantastic, the performance is by far the best I have seen in a VNC application thus far. Switching from monitor to monitor is seamless even over 3G. Built-in application launcher and application switcher make opening and closing applications a snap. Small extras like easy access to right-click and the keyboard on a loupe esque-assisted mouse pointer, a built-in miniature dock (showing the applications in your own dock), mouse pad, air-mouse, contrast controllable navigation control panel and so on and on, really help you to do what you need to do on your computer quickly, easily and without too much squinting!

It takes a little time to get used to operating your macs with this app but once you are comfortable with it, it really is extremely handy. Excellent performance as it replaces mouse, keyboard and remote for my mac mini which I have set up as an entertainment center. This also means that I can browse around on the computer without having to turn on our big screen or I can watch TV or dvds simultaneously. I give it 4 out of 5 stars for two reasons: because the screen in the multiple action area is a little too small and would have been easy to make bigger. Of course you can zoom in or go into full screen with one tap but for the sake of usability I would have made the other screen bigger myself. And secondly the app is unable to stream my movies from the mini. I am not sure if it is the iPad that has insufficient processing power or it is the app but disappointingly there is a constant delay in the frames. So if you are looking for an app to do excactly that - this is not it! Other than that - awesome app with loads of utilities. Highly recommendable.

Very handy and easy to use software! Had problems in the beginning, but with excellent service from their side it got resolved very quickly! Now I can fully enjoy this fine piece of software, so far worth every penny!

Very nice

The only downside is that you need to install the helper app on your computer. However, there is also a plus point of having that as it allows you to connect tp your computer eve when you are outside. The resolution is a not as good as JaaduVNC but apart from that, all the other features are marvelous!

UPDATE 11.11.2009 It all changed with version 3. App works like a charm now and what's noted below all of those bugs are now gone. User experience is now very smooth and changing between different modes works really well. Great work.

It could be good but now there's problems, at least with my MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.5.8) and iPhone 3GS (OS 3.1). It doesn't give me full view of my desktop (with or without external display) and zooming makes a mouse click with one of the other finger touching which makes a lot of problems using this app.

If they get these bugs fixed I would rate this with more stars.
